Maharashtra ministry expanded Increase in Fadnavis cabinet, 39 MLAs took oath as ministers


In Maharashtra, the 10-day-old Mahayuti coalition government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been extended. During the swearing-in ceremony held in Nagpur, 39 MLAs took oath as ministers. With the Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers, the total strength of the Fadnavis Cabinet has increased to 42. During the increase in the cabinet, BJP got 19 ministries, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde got 11 and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party got 9 ministries. During the swearing-in ceremony, 33 MLAs took oath as Cabinet Ministers and 6 as State Ministers.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath to the new ministers on the eve of the winter session of Maharashtra Assembly starting from Monday (December 16 to 21) in Nagpur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were also present, who took oath on December 5. State BJP president Chandrasekhar Bawankule and Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar have also been included in the new cabinet. BJP’s Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Chandrakant Patil and NCP’s Hasan Mushrif also took oath as ministers. -News-Patiala
