Union Minister Vaishnav advises Zuckerberg not to change the facts

New Delhi, January 13 Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave a twist to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s claim, in which Zuckerberg said that most of the current governments, including India, lost the elections in 2024 after the Kovid-19 pandemic. Vaishnav claimed that his statement was ‘factually incorrect’.

In his post on X, Vaishnav said that India, as the world’s largest democracy, conducted the 2024 general elections involving more than 64 crore voters. He said, “People of India have reposed their trust in the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

The information and broadcasting minister said, “Mr. Zuckerberg’s claim that most of the current governments, including India, lost the 2024 elections after Covid is factually incorrect.”

Zuckerberg had reportedly claimed in a podcast that in 2024 elections around the world, most of the current governments, including those in India, would lose power. Vaishnav tagged Meta in the post and described it as ‘misleading’ information being spread by Mark Zuckerberg. He said, “Let’s maintain facts and credibility.” – News-Patiala
