Now travel is becoming the new ‘love language’. According to a recent survey by Booking.com, 86% of Indians agreed that they like it the most when their partner takes the initiative to plan and book the entire trip. Where are couples going on Valentine’s weekend? There is a big jump in the data of travel platforms this year. An increase of about 175% was recorded in hotel bookings during Valentine’s Week. Among these destinations to visit, Pondicherry is searched 48% more. Here people are liking the attraction of sea shore, French streets and slow walks. Thiruvananthapuram saw a 41% jump. The cliff side view and café culture here is becoming very popular among young couples. Udaipur has increased by 33%. This has been prevalent for many years. The lakes, palaces and heritage stays here are still a favorite among couples. Dubai-Hong Kong remain popular destinations internationally, while Colombo has seen more than 65% growth in bookings. ‘Effort’ is the biggest gift for women. 76 percent women believe that men should take the lead in planning holidays. 92 percent women find it attractive for their partner to plan a trip. 82 percent women prefer partners who provide good experiences, not just expensive gifts.
