Los Angeles: At least three people have died in a plane crash in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, USA, this information is given in a preliminary report of the Federal Aviation Administration. The US National Transportation Safety Board said it was investigating the incident, Xinhua News Agency reported. First plane crash

Routt County Sheriff Doug Sherar said efforts to identify the victims and notify their families are ongoing. Earlier, there was a plane crash in December. Seven people were killed when a small jet crashed in Statesville, North Carolina. According to the police, the accident happened at a regional airport. Those killed in the crash include former NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) driver Greg Biffle, his wife and two children, according to police. The Cessna C-550 jet crashed and caught fire while landing at the airport at 10:20 a.m. ET Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

According to flight information website FlightAware, the plane took off from the airport shortly after 10 a.m. but later attempted to return and land there. The video showed rescue workers immediately rushing to the runway, the wreckage of the plane engulfed in flames. Statesville Regional Airport Manager John Ferguson told reporters that the Federal Aviation Administration has now taken over the crash site.
