On the invitation of the United Farmers’ Front, copies of the Mandi manuscript were burnt today by various farmers’ unions at different places apart from the local town. Majha Sangharsh Committee under the leadership of President Balwinder Singh Raju Aulakh in Sthana town and Punjab Kisan Union under the leadership of Block President Sukhwant Singh Sathyali at nearby Pul Sathyali burned copies of the Mandi manuscript. Apart from this, farmers also protested by burning copies of the manuscript at Harchowal and Bhaini Mian Khan. On this occasion, hundreds of farmers including leaders such as Manjit Singh Jagowal, Lakhwinder Singh Fauji, Nirmal Singh Sar, Sarpanch Bikrampal Singh, Avtar Singh, Surinder Singh, Darshan Singh Sathyali raised slogans against the central government.
