‘Agneepath’ directed by Karan Malhotra, released in 2012, is one of those Bollywood films which reminded the audience of the old Amitabh Bachchan starrer classic, but also won hearts with its new story, brilliant acting and emotional touch. In this film made under the banner of Dharma Productions, Hrithik Roshan plays the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, who sets out on the path of blood and fire to avenge his father’s death.
The story of the film begins in Mandwa village of Mumbai, where Vijay’s father is brutally killed by Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt). Years later, when Vijay grows up, he enters the world of crime, but his aim is only one – to avenge his father. The emotional depth and anger that Hrithik showed in this character proved that he is not only a master of dance or action but also of emotional acting.
Salman Khan’s 2014 film ‘Kick’ is an action-comedy thriller which is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film ‘Kick’. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film was released on the occasion of Eid and proved to be a ‘complete package’ for the fans of superstar Salman Khan. Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui played important roles in Kick.
Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ is an action-packed Bollywood masala entertainer. The story begins with the meeting of Shaina (Jacqueline) and Himanshu (Randeep), where both talk about their future marriage. Shaina tells the story of her previous lover Devi Lal Singh, aka ‘Devil’, who wanted a thrill (kick) in everything he did. He leaves Shaina for this ‘kick’ of his. On the other hand, Himanshu also narrates his story of chasing a cunning thief (Devil) who has looted money from rich and corrupt politicians. It is soon revealed that Shaina’s ex-boyfriend Devil is the thief whom Himanshu is chasing. Devil’s mission of stealing is not just for ‘kicks’, but there is a deeper and noble motive behind it. The film revolves around the exciting ‘cat and mouse’ game between these two characters.
A perfect combination of action, suspense and romance was seen in Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer film Raees. The film ‘Raees’ is a powerful action-thriller which is based on the backdrop of 1980s Gujarat. The film is available on Netflix and it received mixed reviews from the audience and critics.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan made her acting debut with this film of Shahrukh Khan. The film revolves around the character of Shahrukh Khan (Raees Alam), a bespectacled, dashing man who runs a bootlegging business and is famous for his business acumen and courage. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is also seen in an important role in this film.
‘Force 2’ starring John Abraham is the sequel to the 2011 successful film ‘Force’, directed by Abhinay Deo. The film especially pays tribute to the unsung agents of RAW, who are martyred while serving the country, but never get official recognition.
The story of the film revolves around ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham), who is performing his duty even after losing his wife (Genelia D’Souza). After three Indian RAW agents are murdered in China, Yash receives a code message. He learns that there is a traitor within the Indian intelligence agency who is leaking information about the agents. Sonakshi Sinha enters this sequel film.
‘Dabangg 3’, the third film of Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan’s superhit franchise Dabangg, is available on Netflix. Full of action, drama and suspense, this film can be called a mass entertainer. In this, Sai Manjrekar played the lead role along with Salman and Sonakshi. This was Sai’s debut film.
