Cec, ECS Appointments Under New Law: Supreme Court to be on February 12 Hearing


New Delhi, Feb 3 February

The Supreme Court will hear the petitions filed on file filed filed by the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners on February 12. A bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice N.Cotiswar Singh, said they would decide the case on the basis of merit.

The Advocate Prashant Bhushan introduced by the NGO Association for Democratic Rifings said that the matter was listed for February 4, but other issues may be heard.

Distressing the present head of the current Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, said the issue was required as the constitutional hearing of the constitutional bench was covered below 2023 decisions. He said that the 2023 decision was said that the appointment of Election Commissioners could not be appointed by the government but the Chief Justice of the Chief Justice of the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of India, otherwise the election would be at risk for democracy .
