Chhattisgarh: Three Naxalites killed in encounter with security forces

Three Naxalites have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district. So far, the bodies of three Naxalites have been recovered and the search operation is on. Deputy Chief Minister of the state Vijay Sharma gave this information. Sharma said that the security forces have been successful in the anti-Naxal campaign in Sukma. Referring to the January 6 IED blast by Naxalites in Bijapur district, Sharma, who also holds the Home Department, said, “There is a lot of anger among the security forces after what the Naxalites did.” Told that this morning, an anti-Naxal campaign was launched by a joint team in a forest on the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts and during this, the competition started. Meanwhile, security forces have recovered two IEDs planted by Naxalites in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, which have been defused. -News-Patiala
