PGT Vacancy : Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 1,672 Post Graduate Teacher Posts. Candidates can apply online by visiting the Haryana PCS website. Last date for submission of application form is 9th March, 2026. As per the notification, there are 1,594 vacancies for PGT Computer Science in Haryana and 278 vacancies in Mewat cadre.

Educational qualification

Computer Science / MCA (3 years) / BE/B.Tech (Regular) with minimum 55% marks in Computer Science / IT/Engineering (50% for SC/PwBD candidates)

Have passed Haryana TET/STET or equivalent examination. Besides, Hindi and Sanskrit are compulsory subjects in class 10th.

Age Limit

So the minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 42 years. SC, BC, PWD, and ex-servicemen will get 5 years relaxation.

Screening test

100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates must secure at least 25% marks in this test to proceed.

Subject Knowledge Test – 150 Marks (3 hours duration).

Subjects (Computer Science and Python Programming, etc.) based on syllabus.

interview-

Candidates securing minimum cut-off marks in Subject Knowledge Test will be called for interview (12.5% ​​weightage).
