Patiala, Punjab – December 9, 2023: In a major push for citizen-centric governance, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today announced the launch of the ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ scheme on December 10th. This initiative aims to deliver 43 critical government services directly to people’s homes, eliminating the need to visit government offices.
Convenience and Transparency:
Chief Minister Mann conducted surprise inspections at Saanjh Kendras in Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and Bassi Pathana to assess service delivery. He emphasized that the scheme aims to provide a smooth and convenient experience to citizens.
43 G2C Services at Your Doorstep:
The ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ scheme will make 43 key government-to-citizen (G2C) services readily available at people’s doorsteps. These services include:
- Birth and Death Certificates
- Income Certificates
- Residence Certificates
- Caste Certificates
- Pension Services
- Electricity Bill Payments
- And many more
Hassle-Free Service Delivery:
To avail themselves of the scheme, citizens can simply call the dedicated helpline number 1076 and schedule an appointment at their convenience. They will be informed of the required documents, fees, and other details before the appointment.
On-Site Processing and Transparency:
Specially trained personnel equipped with tablets will visit the scheduled location. They will complete the necessary paperwork, collect fees, and provide an acknowledgment receipt, allowing citizens to track their application status.
Eradicating Middlemen:
This initiative is expected to significantly improve convenience, eliminate middlemen, and bring transparency and efficiency to government service delivery.
Availability:
Citizens can avail themselves of the Door-Step Delivery (DSD) service through both Sewa Kendras and the dedicated helpline number 1076 from December 10th, 2023, onwards.
