Filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani told that Govinda was Govinda Insicure to Playback singer Mahendra Kapoor’s son Rohan Kapoor. Both of them worked in the film Love 86 released in 1986.
New Delhi. Bollywood actor Govinda was called a hit machine in the 90s. He worked with many filmmakers in his career, one of whom is Pahlaj Nihalani. Both of them have worked together in films like Elazam, Shola and Shabnam and Aankhen. Recently, Pahlaj Nihalani revealed that Govinda was instilling his co-store Rohan Kapoor as he was the son of famous singer Mahendra Kapoor and came from the film family.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Pahlaj Nihalani told that Govinda started feeling insensible as Rohan used to come in the car on the set while he used to come by auto. He said, ‘I launched Govinda, but he first did his uncle’s film Tan-Bandan. A reel of the film was ready, but no distributor was ready to take it. But I did not know about it. Govinda did not tell me this because the film was closed for some time. He became popular after the debut film Love 86 (1986).
Govinda was insured by Rohan Kapoor
Pahlaj further said, ‘Govinda worked with Rohan Kapoor in Love 86. Rohan was the son of the great playback singer Mahendra Kapoor. Govinda had a complex about the fact that this Rohan always comes in the car in front of me, while I come in auto. I told him to buy a car yourself. At that time Vinod Mehra also signed him for a project and gave him 50,000. At that time the price of Maruti 800 was around 1 lakh and it bought the same.
New car immediately raised the showroom
The filmmaker further said, ‘He (Govinda) brought him directly from his new car showroom to my party in Inn and made me and my wife sit in that car. So we were like family relationships, but we were never friends.
Sunita put a break on the news of divorce
Govinda’s personal life remained in a lot of headlines recently. There were reports that he and his wife Sunita Ahuja are going to divorce. However, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the couple came together in front of the media and put a stop to the rumors of divorce. Sunita told the media, ‘Today, so close, close…. If anything had happened, we would have been so close? We would have distances. Nobody can separate both of us, even if someone comes from above, God comes, some devil comes. No one can separate.
