Patiala, India – The state of Punjab celebrated its 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023, with a flag hoisting ceremony at Patiala. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led the ceremony, which was attended by thousands of people.

After the flag hoisting ceremony, Mann visited the Patiala War Memorial to pay tribute to the soldiers who have died in the line of duty. He also met with a group of freedom fighters and listened to their stories.
