New Delhi, India (August 15, 2023) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi waved the national flag for the 10th time on the Red Fort on Tuesday morning to mark the 77th Independence Day of India. He was accompanied by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the heads of the three armed forces.
After hoisting the flag, the Prime Minister inspected the guard of honor and delivered a speech to the nation. In his speech, he spoke about the progress that India has made in the last 77 years and outlined his vision for the future.
The Prime Minister also launched a number of new initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), which aims to train 1 crore youth in different skills. He also announced the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), which aims to provide financial services to the poor.
