News Patiala: July 11th 2023- The Chief Secretary of Punjab reviewed the arrangements made to deal with the situation caused by the rains and the relief work. He instructed officials to evacuate people safely and make alternative arrangements for food, drink, and accommodation on a war footing. He also asked officials to identify unsafe buildings and make people aware of them. He further asked the NDRF to deploy teams as per the requirement of the districts. The health, water supply, and animal husbandry departments were also asked to make advance arrangements.
The Chief Secretary held the meeting at Mangalwal for the second day in a row to keep a constant watch on the situation in the state. He was accompanied by the Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments and the Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of all the districts.
