In fact, his speech given at an event in Hyderabad has created a political storm, where he accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of preparing ‘genocide’ of Muslims, tribals and minorities. The speech is said to have been made last month, but after it went viral this week, it drew sharp reactions from BJP supporters, who called it ‘false’, ‘provocative’ and ‘anti-national’. Hashtags like #ArrestPrakashRaj started trending on social media and many demanded legal action.
RSS told the monster hidden under water
Prakash Raj gave a statement at the program ‘Longing for Justice’ organized by the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR). He said, ‘Whatever is happening in this country is preparation for genocide. They want to destroy Muslims, want to destroy tribals, want to destroy minorities. This is their agenda. Raj described RSS as a monster hidden under water and BJP as a lotus and said that the real power lies with RSS, which is not a political party. He compared it with the fascist movements of Europe, where Hitler and Benito Mussolini depended on political parties, but RSS is the hidden force.
