We will soon give 1100 rupees to women in Punjab: Bhagwant Hon

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said today that arrangements are being made by the Punjab government to give Rs 1100 monthly to women and necessary funds will be kept for this in the upcoming budget. The Chief Minister also claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party would form the government in Delhi for the fourth time in a row. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said this while addressing the ‘Women Empowerment Summit-2025’ after laying the foundation stone for the expansion of the local district administrative complex building. The Chief Minister also welcomed the central government’s invitation to dialogue to the striking farmers.

The Chief Minister said that there are four blocks in the Secretariat, out of which the construction of floors has started in Block B, which will be completed in about eight months by August this year. A total of 48 rooms will be constructed and a new lift with a capacity of 13 persons will be installed and CCTV cameras will be provided. The state-of-the-art building will also be equipped with fire detection/emergency evacuation and public address systems. A 95 KW solar power generation system will be installed in the building for adequate use of renewable energy. He said that the previous governments did not pay any attention to such initiatives for better service to the people.

Talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that AAP is going to form the government for the fourth time after winning 70 seats in Delhi. He announced to put 1100 rupees in women’s accounts soon and said that provision will be made in the budget to give this amount to women. He said that ‘AAP’ does not do show politics. He said about the invitation given by the central government to the farmers in Chandigarh on February 14 that the problem should be resolved through dialogue. The Chief Minister, however, did not say whether he would attend the meeting or not.

On this occasion Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Food Commission Chairman Bal Mukand Sharma, Dr. Amdandeep Kaur Arora, Davinderjit Singh Ladi Dhos, Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Baljit Singh Chani Mayor, Chairman Harjinder Singh Rode, District Planning Board Chairman Harmanjit Singh, Nagar Reform Trust Chairman Deepak Arora and other civil and administrative officials were present.
