During the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela here, the tents caught fire due to explosions in the cylinders. There is no immediate news of any casualty in the accident. Akhara police station in-charge Bhaskar Mishra said, “The camps caught fire due to explosions in two cylinders in Sector 19 of Mahakumbh Mela. Efforts are on to put out the fire by the fire brigade.” The post from the official X handle of Mahakumbh 2025 said, “Very sad! The incident of fire in Mahakumbha shook everyone. Immediate relief and rescue operations have been ensured by the administration. We pray to Maa Ganga for everyone’s safety.” A clip was also shared along with the post on X showing black smoke billowing from the concerned area. -News-Patiala
