The accused first sprayed the CCTV cameras installed in PNB’s ATM; Then tried to cut ATM with gas cutter

Punjab News: Thieves tried to rob the ATM of Punjab National Bank by setting it on fire with a gas cutter in village Bhatoya, but failed. After this, they set the ATM on fire and fled.
According to information, a young man entered the ATM by breaking the locks at around 1 am and he first sprayed the CCTV cameras inside the ATM. After this, he tried to cut the ATM with a gas cutter, but when he failed, he set the ATM on fire. It is to be noted that the shutter of this ATM located near the bus stand is locked and closed at night.
When the people of the nearby houses woke up on Wednesday morning, they saw the locks of the ATM broken and the shutter of the ATM was also lifted. He immediately informed the Sarpanch of the village and then the Sarpanch informed the police.
The police team reached the spot and took stock of the entire incident. ASP Dinanagar Dilpreet Singh said that the recording of CCTV cameras installed around the village is being examined. He said that the accused will be arrested soon.
