Senior party leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the party delegation told the Jathedar that the Shiromani Akali Dal has always followed the guidelines of the Akal Takht. All party leaders have followed the religious punishment given to them as per the orders of Akal Takht and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has also resigned as party president.

He said that these forces now want to register their own parties. He challenged the opposition parties to publicize the process of registering their parties so that people can understand the difference between what they preach and what they do.
