Mercury rises by few notches in Himachal: Mercury rises in many places in Himachal; Una was the hottest with 25.6 degrees

The dry weather in Himachal Pradesh saw the minimum and maximum temperature increase by a few degrees and Una was the hottest in the state at 25.6 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or snow at some places today and tomorrow and dry weather in the state for the next five days till January 28. Apart from this, on January 23 and 24, dense fog and cold wave were issued at isolated places in lower hills of Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba and Mandi and yellow warning of dense fog at some places on January 25. According to meteorologists, the maximum temperature is likely to drop by 3 to 4 degrees in the next one to two days. On the other hand, Kusumseri was the coldest in the state, followed by Tabo at minus 7.4 degrees, Keylong at minus 6.5 degrees and Kalpa at minus 0.8 degrees.

The maximum temperature crossed the 20 degree mark at many places. Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra and Bhuntar recorded temperatures of 25.0 degrees, 24.3 degrees, 23.9 degrees and 23.7 degrees respectively.
