‘Little Master’ unhappy over not being invited to Border-Gavaskar trophy award ceremony to Australian team

Legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar today expressed his unhappiness over not being invited to present the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which is named after him and the former Australian captain, to the Australian team. The trophy was presented by Alan Border to the Australian team that won the five-match series at Kabilgaon 3–1, but Gavaskar, who was on the field at the time, was deliberately ignored. Gavaskar said, “I would definitely have been happy if I had been invited to present the trophy. After all, this is the Border Gavaskar Trophy and it was about Australia and India.”
