Italy’s Janic Siner defeated Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 to win the Australian Open title. This is Sinar’s second consecutive title in this tournament. Siner lost no break points to defeat world number two Zverev 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3. Sinner became the youngest player to win the title twice in a row since Jim Courier in 1992 and 1993. This is Sinner’s 21st win in a row. He has become the champion for the third time in the last five Grand Slams. – Ap
