The city police has registered a case against two Congress councilors for running a travel agency without a license for defrauding people. The police have implemented this action today before the election of the mayor of the municipal corporation, against whom the case has been registered, the names of senior Congress leaders Gurjitpal Walia and Mukesh Bhatia are included. Action has been taken against Walia for running the Bright Future Islands Center and against Mukesh Bhatia for running the Oxford Center. Gurjitpal Walia’s wife Paramjit Kaur Walia who has become a councilor from ward number 15 while Mukesh Bhatia’s wife Pinky Bhatia who has become a councilor from ward number 7 and there was pressure on them to join AAP but both of them MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal has alleged that this happened due to not joining AAP.
When contacted, Gurjit Walia said that the leaders of ‘AAP’ are trying to pressurize him by registering false papers, but this will not happen at any cost and this bullying will be answered openly. He said that he does not even know the person by whom the case has been registered against him and all this is motivated by politics.
