The Delhi High Court has extended the bail granted to Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is serving life sentence in the 2017 Unnao rape case, on medical grounds by one month.
The court also imposed certain conditions on Sangar, the expelled BJP leader, such as not leaving his house and not leaving Delhi except for going to AIIMS for treatment. Both the CBI and the rape victim opposed the plea for extension of interim bail.
A bench of Justice Pratibha M Singh and Justice Amit Sharma said Sanger will surrender before the jail superintendent on January 20. The bench had earlier granted interim bail to the leader till December 20. -News-Patiala
