Congress Party MLA from Guhla Constituency Davinder Hans today visited Arnoli, Dera Guru Nanak Nagar, Laundry, Chhanna Jattan Jodhwa, Dera Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Paparala and Dera Ratan Singh constituencies and met the people. He thanked the farmers and general public for their trust in the elections. Mr. Hans said that your trust and support has given strength, and he will try to live up to their expectations at all costs and priority will be to protect rights and ensure all-round development of the region.
Hans made sharp attacks on the BJP government in his address. He said, “The BJP government has done injustice to the farmers by depriving them of their right to protest peacefully. This is a direct attack on democracy and farmers’ rights.” He also said that the BJP government has adopted divisive policies to harass the farmers and suppress their voice.
Recalling the farmers’ struggle against the Agrarian Acts, he said, “Our farmer brothers have built this country with their blood and sweat but the BJP has tried to malign their movement and still ignores their problems. ‘
