Patiala, October 14 – PRTC Chairman Ranjodh Singh Hadana seized a private bus on Friday for running illegally without a route. The bus belonged to a reputed family and had been running illegally for a long time. Its route was from Bathinda, but it would enter Patiala bus stand and pick up passengers, even though Patiala was not on its route.
Chairman Hadana called RTA officials to the spot and had the bus impounded and a challan issued to the driver. He said that he was conducting a special operation to crack down on private buses running illegally. He warned private bus operators that they would face strict action if they were caught.
