Machiwara Sahib: Singer Paramjit Kaur Pammi from Machiwara Sahib has been arrested for drug smuggling. The police also arrested two of her accomplices, Jagdish Singh Disha and Lakhowal clan.
The arrests were made in connection with the death of young Kuldeep Singh Ladi, who died of drug overdose a few days ago. The body of the deceased youth was found in the gravesite.
The police investigation revealed that Kuldeep Singh had brought drugs from singer Paramjit Kaur Pammi. Singer Kuldeep is a resident of Rahimabad Khurd, a village near Ladi. Paramjit Kaur is a singer by profession and used to perform in fairs.
The investigation also revealed that white powder is being prepared from the chemical, which is given to the youth for intoxication. Kuldeep Singh and his accomplices are also likely to have been given chemically prepared powder. Due to this, Kuldeep Singh died as soon as he was injected.
The police have also started an investigation regarding the smuggling of chemical powder.
