News Patiala:- A 19-year-old girl was murdered in broad daylight in Jagraon, Punjab, on Tuesday. The victim, Gurmanjot Kaur, was attacked with a sharp weapon and killed while she was alone at home with her grandmother. The accused then escaped with the girl’s mobile phone.
The incident took place in Chimna village, Jagraon. According to police, the accused entered the house and attacked the girl from behind. The girl died on the spot, and the accused fled the scene with her mobile phone.
The victim’s father, Pal Singh, said that he was out of town when the incident happened. He received a call from a villager who informed him that his daughter had been murdered. Singh rushed home and found his daughter dead.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. They have found some important clues and are confident that the accused will be arrested soon.
