Samples of vegetables were collected from different places in Patiala
News Patiala: As per the guidelines of the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, the samples were filled from different areas. Civil surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur On the guidelines, the amount of metal in vegetables is being checked across Punjab. Under the surveillance campaign, 10 surveillance samples of green vegetables were taken by the health department team.
Giving information in this regard, Food Safety Officer Kanwardeep Singh gave information. He said that his team which also included Food Safety Officer Puneet Sharma. By checking the vegetable shops in Patiala city and Rajpura, vegetables include capsicum, potato, eggplant, tomato, okra, brinjal, etc. Their five surveillance samples were taken from Patiala city and five surveillance samples from Rajpura. He also informed that these filled samples will be sent to the Kharar lab for metal testing.
On this occasion, he also instructed the vegetable seller not to sell rotten, rotten, and overripe vegetables. Instructions were also given to take special care of cleanliness at the time of sale.
