News Patiala 11th July 2023: The Punjab government, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has accelerated relief work in the flood-affected areas of the state. Medicines worth ₹50,000 per district have been purchased and distributed at tehsil headquarters to Senior Veterinary officers. The Health Department has also released a grant of ₹12.5 lakhs in district hospitals to cater to their emergency needs so that they can smoothly carry out flood relief operations.
The Chief Minister has directed all ministers, MLAs, and officers to reach out to the needy people in the flood-affected areas and provide them with all possible assistance. He has also asked them to ensure that the relief work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
The government has set up relief camps in all the flood-affected areas. These camps are providing food, shelter, and medical care to the affected people. The government has also arranged for the transportation of people to safer areas.
The Chief Minister has appealed to the people to remain calm and cooperate with the government in the relief work. He has assured them that the government will do everything possible to help them in this difficult time.
