News Patiala:- The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested a retired District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) and an Assistant District Commissioner (ADC) in connection with a panchayat land scam in Pathankot. Two women beneficiaries of the scam have also been arrested.
The accused ADC, Kuldeep Singh, is alleged to have delivered a judgment in favor of private individuals in a case involving 734 kanal and 1 marla of panchayat land. This decision resulted in the transfer of the land to private individuals.
The other accused in the case are:
- Inderdeep Kaur, a resident of Ferozepur City
- Bharati Banta, a resident of Krishna Nagar Pathankot
- Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Pathankot
- Surinder Pal Singh, a resident of Pathankot
- Narinder Singh, a resident of Pathankot
- Balbir Singh, a resident of Pathankot
The Vigilance Bureau is conducting further investigations into the case.
