Ludhiana: The businessman and his family members attacked the central GST team. That arrived to raid the businessman’s house in the Basant Avenue area in the case of bogus billing.
The accused assaulted the team of officials and vandalized their vehicle. On receiving the information, Sadar Police took the officials out of there.
But, two officers were injured in the attack by the businessman and his family members. Till the news was written late at night, Sadar police station was engaged in action against the accused.
The team of Assistant Commissioner Rohit Meena and Hemant Kumar raided the house of businessman Yashpal Mehta. The team had a search warrant. When the team members started searching, the businessman and his family members attacked them.
Hemant Kumar and Chetna Singh were injured in the attack. The accused also attacked and vandalized the team’s Innova car. The Sadar police station has registered a case against Yashpal Mehta, his daughter-in-law Alka Mehta, Shakumbra Mehta, and other people in this case.
