Zero Tolerance zone from Leela Bhawan to 22 no Phatak
News Patiala, July 23, 2022 – The administration has taken a new initiative to make the roads of Patiala accident-free and smooth traffic. In which the joint administration team, which includes traffic police, municipal corporation, and civil administration. A zero-tolerance zone has been created by them on July 23 from 8 am to 8 pm on the road with gate number 22 from Leela Bhavan.
The purpose of creating zero-tolerance zones on city roads is to encourage people to follow traffic rules. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the traffic rules in these zones, challans will be deducted and no one will be given any leeway.
Sakshi Sahni said that to strictly follow the traffic rules on the roads, these zones will be created on different roads in the city of Patiala for one month after informing the people in advance. No notification will be given from next month. More strict action will be taken against traffic violators.
Those who do not follow over speed, seat belt, helmet, red light jump, wrong parking, high beam lights, etc. will be challaned in this zone. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the districts to follow the traffic rules and said that the cooperation of the people is very important to make the roads accident-free.
