Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. They will be arrested soon.
The incident has been caught on a CCTV camera. It shows Akbar moving towards an alleged assailant inside a gym. As the councilor went further near, the attacker took out a pistol and fired at him. A case under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered against unidentified attackers on the complaint of the slain councilor’s wife Akbari.
