Prohibition order issued in the district on carrying deadly weapons: DC Patiala Sandeep Hans

 Patiala News, January 19, 2022 – Patiala District Magistrate Sandeep Hans exercised his powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) to maintain law and order in the district and maintain peace in the public interest. 

It is prohibited to carry firearms, ammunition, explosives, flammable items, sharp weapons such as spears, lances, tridents, etc. in public places within the limits of Patiala district. These orders will remain in force till March 16, 2022, in the district. This order will not apply to disabled/elderly persons (who cannot walk without a cane and security personnel/police personnel on duty.
