Kejriwal’s allegation: ‘Opposition party people attacked my vehicle on Amit Shah’s orders’

New Delhi, January 23

Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal today alleged that the police allowed the opposition candidate’s men to attack his vehicle on the orders of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The BJP has not given an immediate reaction to Kejriwal’s claim. Kejriwal was addressing public rallies in West Delhi’s Hari Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Madipur constituencies to seek votes for AAP candidates.

In a social media post after the election rally in Hari Nagar, Kejriwal wrote, “Today in Hari Nagar, police allowed opposition candidate’s people to enter my election rally and then attacked my vehicle. All this is happening on Amit Shah’s order.” Kejriwal said, “Amit Shah has turned Delhi Police into BJP’s personal army.” He further said, “Big questions are being raised on the Election Commission that there are continuous attacks on the national president of a national party and its leaders and the Election Commission is unable to take any effective action.” It is to be noted that Delhi Kejriwal has earlier made similar accusations of attacks on the BJP during the assembly election campaign. -News-Patiala
