ED team raid Sanjay Raut’s house

Investigation of money laundering case continues

                    The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has reached the house of Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut in Mumbai. According to news agency ANI, Raut can be taken into custody for questioning.

 An investigation is underway against Sanjay Raut in the money laundering case related to the Patra rice scam of Rs 1034 crore. ED has issued summons to them several times. But for some reason, Raut is not appearing before ED. Earlier, he had sought more time from the ED to appear, citing the ongoing campaign for the election of the vice-president. 

Sanjay Raut is the main accused in this case.
