Bollywood Veteran scriptwriter and father of Salman Khan, Salim Khan recently suffered brain hemorrhage. He is admitted in Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. He underwent a minor surgical procedure. answer- Brain hemorrhage is a type of brain stroke, which is also called ‘intracranial hemorrhage’. In this, blood starts leaking due to bursting of blood vessels in the brain. This blood keeps accumulating inside the brain. This accumulated blood creates pressure on the brain.

Due to hemorrhage (rupture of a brain vein) and pressure created by accumulated blood, the blood supply to the brain reduces or stops. If the brain does not get oxygen for 2-3 minutes, then brain cells start dying. Therefore, in such conditions, immediate treatment is necessary.

Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: This often happens due to aneurysm bursting (the blood vessel bursts due to weakening of the wall). It can cause unconsciousness or death along with severe headache.

If not treated timely, both conditions can be fatal.
