Ultra-luxury homes: 59 luxury homes sold for Rs 4,754 crore in India

India saw sales of 59 ultra-luxury homes priced above Rs 40 crore last year at a total price of Rs 4,754 crore, up 17 percent from 2023, according to a report on Thursday.

At least 17 of the 59 ultra-luxury homes sold in 2024 were priced above Rs 100 crore, the data shows. The Anarock Group report said that the total value of these 17 houses sold alone was Rs 2,344 crore. 58 ultra-luxury homes were sold in 2023 at a total sale price of around Rs 4,063 crore.

Out of a total of 59 ultra-luxury homes sold in 2024, 53 were apartments and only six deals were bungalows. At least 17 deals in 2024 were worth more than Rs 100 crore. Out of which 16 are located in Mumbai and one in Delhi-NCR (Gurugram). Mumbai dominated with 52 ultra-luxury residential deals, comprising 88 percent of the total deals.

Delhi-NCR recorded a total of three deals, two in Gurugram and one in Delhi. Anuj Puri, Chairman, Anarock Group, said, “The annual growth in both the number of deals and their overall sales value reflects the sustained demand for ultra-luxury properties in top cities. Demand for luxury properties has increased significantly since the pandemic. – IANS
