The Indian Ministry of External Affairs, in response to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s statement that ‘It Takes 2 to Tango’ means clapping is always done with two hands, said that the ‘T’ in reference to Pakistan here does not mean tango but ‘ Terrorism’ (extremism). Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal blasted Pakistan by quoting former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s statement, “Those who keep snakes in their sleeves should not expect that it will only bite their neighbours”.
Jaiswal said during the weekly press briefing on Friday that the appropriate meaning of the word ‘T’ here is ‘extremism’ and not ‘tango’. According to the report of ARY, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar on Thursday appealed to India to improve relations between the two countries and said that “It takes 2 to tango.” Here this statement meant that the relations between the two countries There is no benefit for Pakistan alone to extend its hand for reform and India will also have to go ahead and extend its hand. Speaking about Pakistan’s trade relations with India, Dar emphasized the need to create a conducive environment for improving relations.
The Ministry of External Affairs also dismissed reports of India’s alleged involvement in several killings in Pakistan and pointed to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s comments on terrorism. Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Both the newspaper and the reporter appear to be harboring animosity towards India. You can see a pattern in their activities. I leave it to you to judge their credibility. As far as we are concerned, they are nothing to us.” He added, “As far as Pakistan is mentioned in the text, I want to remind you what Hillary Clinton said. He had said, “You cannot keep a snake up your sleeve and expect it to bite only your neighbors.” – ANI
