The mob attacked the SP office in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district

A mob attacked the SP office in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district. The crowd was upset that the Superintendent of Police (SP) had failed to dislodge the central forces from the border village of Saibol in Imphal East district. It has been claimed that many people were injured in the attack. The Kuki organizations were protesting the alleged lathi charge on women by the security forces in Saibol village. The assailants pelted stones at the SP office in protest against the deployment of central forces, especially BSF and CRPF, in the village. Meanwhile, the vehicles of the district police stationed in the premises of the SP office were also damaged. -News-Patiala
