Punjab News: Angry Akali leaders have met Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht on Thursday and demanded to make the seven member committee formed for the recruitment of Shiromani Akali Dal operational. Among the disgruntled Akali leaders who met Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh were Gurpratap Singh Wadala, Santa Singh Umaidpuri and Bhai Manjit Singh.

After the meeting, the Sikh delegation informed that they met the Jathedar and expressed their displeasure against the leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal, which is not following the orders of Sri Akal Takht. Mr. Wadala said that the Jathedar said that the responsibility of recruitment in the party has been entrusted to the seven member committee announced by Mr. Akal Takht. This seven-member committee will monitor the recruitment.

He said that on the order of the Jathedar, a letter has also been handed over to the president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, in which a meeting of the committee headed by him has been requested. He said that he will soon meet the president of the Shiromani Committee in this regard.
