A Pakistani man has been shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) while trying to cross the border illegally. A bag, Pakistani currency and some goods have been recovered from this person.
The BSF officials said that this person was trying to enter the Indian border by taking advantage of the fog last night in Kot Razada border area of Amritsar sector. On this, the BSF jawans posted on duty signaled to stop him, but this person continued to advance in the Indian territory.
He said that when the BSF personnel did not find the intruder’s intentions right, they opened fire. This person has been killed by a bullet. Later, during the investigation, a bag, Pakistani currency worth about 400 rupees and other items were recovered from the person who was killed. His body has been handed over to the Punjab Police by the BSF jawans so that further action can be taken.
