New Delhi, January 22
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged Delhi BJP members to aim to win more than 50 per cent booths in the assembly elections, saying people are expressing anger towards the AAP government and recalling promises. In an online conversation with members of the Delhi BJP, Mr Modi said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which he called an “Aapda” (disaster), had been exposed. He said that ‘Aapda’ is making new announcements every day, as it is receiving daily reports of land loss in different parts of Delhi.
He accused AAP of conspiring to push the people of ‘Purvanchal’ out of the national capital, alleging that the party was filled with hatred for them.
He called for the defeat of the Arvind Kejriwal-led party, saying that it would pave the way for realizing the vision of making Delhi the developed capital of developed India. Targeting the city government for failing to provide basic necessities like water to the people, he said in a conversation with a BJP member that ‘alcohol is available but not water’. Criticizing Kejriwal, he said that ‘Sheeshmahal’ Aap’ is a living example of deception and lies. News-Patiala
