India has lost five places to the 85th position in the Global Passport List ranking. Singapore remains at the top of the ranking for the second year in a row. The figures are taken from the Henley Passport List released by citizenship consultancy firm Henley & Partners. With 19 years of historical data, the Henley Passport Index is the only index of its kind based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), according to the website. The list includes 199 different passports and 227 different places. According to the list released for the year 2025, India is ranked 85th, while Pakistan and Bangladesh are ranked 103rd (101st in 2024) and 100th (97th in 2024) respectively. Last year, India was at the 80th position in this list. -News-Patiala
