The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) FIR states that the case relates to alleged payments made by Diageo Scotland and Sequoia Capitals to Advantage Strategic Consulting Pvt Ltd, which Karti P. An entity owned by Chidambaram and his close aide S Bhaskar Raman. The agency alleged that investigations revealed that Diageo used to import Johnnie Walker whiskey into Scotland, UK tax-free.
