The accident took place on January 2 and came to the fore when its video clip went viral on social media. A police officer of Jharsuguda district said, “According to the preliminary investigation, the district administration used drones to take pictures and record videos during the visit of the Chief Minister and other top officials. Due to some technical glitch, the drone accidentally fell near the Chief Minister.” Mohan Charan Majhi was heading towards the Jhareshwar temple in Puranabasti area of Jharsuguda when the drone suddenly fell near his feet.
