‘Punjabi News-Patiala’ is the standard newspaper of Punjab and an important publication of News-Patiala Trust. News-Patiala newspaper group was planted by Sardar Dayal Singh Majithia, the great scion of Punjab and India, on February 2, 1881, by starting the English newspaper ‘The News-Patiala’ in Lahore.
The publication of ‘Punjabi News-Patiala’ was started from 15th August 1978 and it is considered as a watchdog of fair and impartial thought. It has been the belief of ‘Punjabi News-Patiala’ to refrain from sensational language and ideas and to bring forward the difficulties and problems faced by the people in a smooth manner.
With the publication of ‘Punjabi News-Patiala’, a new style of Punjabi journalism began. A lot has changed with time, but the News-Patiala Group’s legacy of taking a bold step in journalism remains the same.
