CRPF Assam Police Chief Gyanendra Pratap Singh appointed CRPF Director General


New Delhi, January 19

Assam Police Chief Gyanendra Pratap Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Gyanendra Pratap Singh is a 1991 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given due approval to Singh’s appointment as CRPF DG. According to the orders issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Singh’s tenure will be till his retirement age on November 30, 2027. After the retirement of Anish Dayal Singh on December 31, 2024, senior IPS officer Vitul Kumar had the acting charge of the CRPF chief. -News-Patiala
