After the attack on the former chief minister’s vehicle, politics broke out in Delhi

New Delhi, January 19

After the alleged attack on Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal’s vehicle while campaigning during the Delhi Assembly elections, politics has been on fire here. Today, Kejriwal said that his life was dedicated to the country but he had never seen such a ‘fatal attack’ on a former chief minister during the election campaign in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that supporters of Pravesh Verma, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from the New Delhi Assembly constituency, attacked Kejriwal during the election campaign on Saturday. Targeting the BJP, Kejriwal said that the people of Delhi have never seen such propaganda and violence during the campaign, in which an attempt was made to attack the former chief minister. This is BJP’s way of campaigning, because they are losing badly. He described Verma’s claim as ridiculous, in which he had said that Kejriwal was going to lose the New Delhi seat by 20,000 votes.

Kejriwal told reporters that Pravesh Verma should be allowed to live in his dreams for a few days. Kejriwal said that he has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the housing scheme for government employees. In it, he has suggested that if the central government provides land, the Delhi government will build houses. He said that this scheme can be started with sanitation workers as beneficiaries. Later, houses can be given to other government employees on easy terms. A delegation of Agarwal Samaj met Kejriwal today at his residence in New Delhi. -News-Patiala

AAP accused the police of stopping the screening of the film again

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party today alleged that the Delhi Police foiled yet another attempt to screen a film based on the arrest of party leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said during the press conference that the police refused to hold a press conference where the film was to be shown. He said outside a meeting hall of ‘Andhar Association’ located in Central Delhi that he wants to ask the Election Commission under which rule this permission was not given. During this time, there was no public meeting, election campaign or appeal to seek votes. He said that he came alone to show the screening of the film, but still he was not allowed to show it. -News-Patiala
